New CHART Lab report on school-based mental health promotion initiatives in BC
We are excited to announce the release of our latest report, "An Exploration of School-Based Mental Health Promotion Initiatives in British Columbia." Supported by the BCCDC, this study gathers insights from educators, school district administrators, and public health practitioners on the mental health promotion efforts in BC schools.
CHART Lab team publishes a new article using YDI data on positive childhood experiences (PCEs)
Dr. Hasina Samji and colleagues analyzed YDI data from Grade 11 students during the fifth wave of COVID-19 in British Columbia. The study reveals that positive childhood experiences (PCEs) may protect against depression among youth with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and promote mental health and well-being among adolescents. The article was published in January 2024 in the Child Abuse & Neglect journal.
